DISEASE, ILLNESS & ASBESTOS CLAIMS

Also referred to as an Occupational Disease or Industrial Disease, if you have developed a Work Related Disease or Illness, you may be able to bring a claim against your employers both past and present. Some Work Related Disease and Illnesses develop whilst in the workplace however some may only develop years after your employment has ceased.

You may have been exposed to, noxious fumes; chemicals; excessive levels of noise or vibration. A poor working environment or equipment may result in a Repetitive Strain type injury. You may have been exposed to Asbestos early in your working life and only years later develop an Asbestos Related Illness such as Pleural Thickening, Asbestosis or Mesothelioma.

Such illnesses can have a catastrophic affect on sufferers and their immediate families. Claims of this type are often technically difficult and require the assistance of experts specifically trained in this area.

Exposure to Asbestos

Asbestos was once a commonly used building material. Exposure to it, may cause Asbestos Related Lung conditions such as Pleural Thickening, Asbestosis and Mesothelioma. If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with such an illness or a loved one has recently died from such an illness then CAPA LAW Solicitors can help you build a claim.

You may have worked with asbestos directly or come into contact with others working with it. You may have worked or attended school in a building containing asbestos or you could have come into contact with asbestos via a family member.

Proving an asbestos claim can be difficult, relying on historical information regarding exposure to asbestos. CAPA LAW Solicitors will advise you on the type of information we require to help provide the building blocks to a successful claim.

A diagnosis of an Asbestos Related Illness may also result in entitlement to certain state benefits and lump sum award and therefore it is important to seek advice as soon as possible.

Claims can be brought by those suffering from the illness and also, in certain conditions, on behalf of a loved one lost to an Asbestos Related Illness within the last three years.
