Privacy Policy
Some of the information collected by CAPA LAW Solicitors will include your personal data. For the purposes of data collection, CAPA LAW Solicitors is registered with the ICO, number ZA793724 and is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority number 800591. Searches of the public register can be made with these organisations.

As part of the claims process, it is necessary to collect such information from you to properly identify you, for example, name, address, date of birth, National Insurance number. We will also likely require details of your employment, medical history and banking details. Your personal data is stored on either a paper file or computer or both.

Your personal data is used predominately to pursue and progress your claim. We share some personal data with a limited number of third parties in order to pursue your claim for example defendant insurers and their legal representatives, medical experts, medical agencies, Legal Counsel. We will only disclose your personal data if there is a genuine reason to do so. Such third parties are obliged to look after your personal data and to use the data only for the purposes it has been disclosed. We also share information to enable us to comply with our governing regulatory framework.

We may share your data if we are under a duty to disclose or share your data in order to comply with any legal obligation or to protect the rights, safety or property of CAPA LAW Solicitors, our clients, employees or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purpose of fraud protection, money laundering and credit risk reduction.

Those processing your personal data will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

Our Complaints Policy

CAPA LAW Solicitors is committed to providing high quality legal services. Whilst we make every effort to ensure our services meet such standards, on occasion, it may be perceived that our standards fail to meet this objective.

Should this happen, please let us know. We use your feedback to continually monitor and where necessary, improve our performance.

Any concerns regarding the way in which your claim is being handled should initially be raised with the fee earner dealing with your claim. The fee earner will endeavour to resolve any concerns and will confirm the position in writing.

If you are not satisfied that the issue raised has been resolved, you may refer your complaint in writing or by email to our Client Care Partner, Cathy Fielding at CAPA LAW Ltd, 10 Ashfield Road, Aigburth, Liverpool. L17 0BZ or cathyfielding@capalaw.co.uk

Your complaint will be acknowledged within 7 days of receipt and, following an investigation, a written response including suggestions to resolve any issues. We aim to respond to all complaints within 8 weeks of receipt of your complaint.

During the investigation, we will review your file, consider your comments and those of the fee earner involved. Should you remain unhappy with our response, you can refer your complaint to an independent body, the Legal Ombudsman at PO Box 6806, Wolverhampton, WV1 9WJ, www.legalombudsman.org.uk, enquiries@legalombudsman.org.uk Tel: 0300 555 0333. You should refer any unresolved complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of our final response letter.
